SW20 Radio Charity Work

SW20 Radio is proud to be supporting Cancer Research Relay for Life Pontypool.
In June 2022 we took part in our 1st relay which included hosting, presenting a silent disco throughout the night and broadcasting part of the event live on South Wales Hottest Online Radio Station. We loved it so much we came back and took part in June 2023 as well!
So what is Relay for Life?
Relay for life is a family festival celebrating the power of community fundraising in the fight to beat cancer.
Teams fund raise for life-saving cancer research then unite at a weekend-long festival to honour everyone who has been affected by cancer.
The festival is focused around a 24-hour relay where team members take it in turns to walk around a track to show that together we'll do whatever it takes to beat cancer.

We are even looking at broadcasting live throughout the event to listeners across South Wales.
As well as the event itself, SW20 Radio will be looking to get team members and captains on air to talk about their reasons for taking part, what they have been doing or have planned to raise money and to generally promote such an amazing event and cause.
