Our Team

Barrie Jones

"We had a vision about providing a Radio Station that suited all walks of life but capturing all Communities, run by those in the Community. We wanted a station that appealed to everyone! How many times have you got in the car and had the battle about what station to listen too that would cater for both the kids and mum and dad? Constantly changing stations to appease both you and the kids! That's where the idea came from for a classic every other with a current song every other - music for everyone with no need to change stations! We want to be the Community 'go to' radio station which is based across South Wales but 'championed' by local communities, bringing communities together."

Barrie Jones, Co-Founder of SW20 Radio

Chris Jones

"From helping behind the scenes on a radio show, to presenting my own solo show and now setting up our very own Radio Station, all within 2 years is somewhat unbelievable! It shows the desire and passion we have to really create something unique for South Wales. We want to create a Radio Station that simply has better music and better content! We want to challenge the mainstream offerings that South Wales currently has to offer. We want to have shows that caters for everyone as well as promoting local and unsigned talent. We want to be their platform! We want to support all communities across South Wales through our brand, platform and support to bring that "Feel good factor" back to local radio! Online Radio is growing so fast and we are excited to be part of that journey here at SW20 Radio."

Chris Jones, Co-Founder of SW20 Radio

What can I tell you?

I'm a roofer by day, but have had a passion for radio for many moons.

I have been lucky enough to present shows on Radio Link, Valley Radio, Pride Fm and Sunshine 855 to name a few. My show?

Me messing about in a radio studio for a couple of hours on a Saturday, playing requests, dedications and who knows.... a spot of nonsense is not out of the question.

Nikki 06062023.jpg

Nikki Hancox

Hi, I'm Nikki, and I host the show 'Shake It Off', every Monday evening between 6-7pm. It's a show with music you can sing to, dance to (or both). The show also brings you the latest community news in South Wales. I honestly believe that music is the very best therapy you can get, and I hope that listening to my show makes you sing / dance / smile as much as it does for me!

I adore holidays, socialising, the colour pink, sparkle & positivity. I describe myself as a jack of all trades, master of none, always trying new things:

I'm an amateur runner,

paddleboarder, pilates & yoga lover, and roller skater. Professional champagne drinker, and cake eater! I'm always the one who has to be dragged off the dancefloor!
